Bay of Islands Airport (NZKK or KKE) is a CAA Part 139 Certificated aerodrome serving scheduled passenger aircraft, GA, helicopters and business jets.

 

We are a certified part of New Zealand border control serving as a Place of First Arrival (POFA) facility.

Service Information 

Aircraft Fuel

Both grades (AvGas and Jet A1) is available to GoFuel account holders at Bay of Islands Airport.

Ground Handling

Ground handlers are available on request to provide marshall, chocks, ground power, baggage and passenger services. Please contact us to book this service.

Aircraft Parking

Overnight parking is available on the main apron upon request and charges apply as per the Aeronautical Charges schedule. Overnight parking on the grass apron is free of charge and available without request at any time.

​

Temporary Hangarage

Temporary aircraft storage is limited and we recommend you picket your aircraft when parking on the grass apron if adverse weather is expected. Contact us to find out more.

Business Jets

Bay of Islands Airport receives dozens of business jets each year and particularly over the summer period. Please ensure you contact us to confirm parking availability.

Rescue Fire Service and Runway/Wildlife Inspections

Bay of Islands Airport operates a Category 4 rescue fire response for all scheduled passenger movements over 30 seats. This service can be provided on request to the aerodrome operator. Please enquire to find our more.

Access 

Airside access is restricted and during opening hours access can be gained by calling the duty mobile phone number on the Rescue Fire door outside the main terminal entrance.
